Dear Lovely Reader,
I thought I’d make you a special weekend gift. Enjoy.
I started creating the following graphics (AKA memes) in mid-September 2025, as an offering of love, wisdom, and hope from people I admire during this terrible time in American and global history. I post one every day on Substack.com’s Notes feature, but some of you––my email subscribers especially––might not be aware this feature exists. It’s Substack’s social media tool. Easily found in the app and on the Substack’s website.
This is the place where writers meet other writers and share each other’s work out of generosity and excitement. There are a lot of non-writers who spend time on Notes, too. I thought it would be nice to share them with you, just in case you haven’t seen them.
I’m focusing mainly on women’s wisdom…because it’s long past time to spotlight us. Famous and unknowns, alike. So dive in, take a look, tell me which ones you love the most. And do share any quotes that are meaningful to you, but please vet them first. And they shouldn’t be toooooo long. The focus is on women’s quotes, please. Feminist-forward.
If I love them, I’ll design memes for them. When I post them, I’ll give you a shout out!

Wow so many treasures I don’t know where to begin! Particularly love the M L’Engle one. Going to share that one now.:)
